Geoffrey T. Mott, Esq. is the esteemed President of The Law Offices of Geoffrey T. Mott, P.C. With a career spanning several decades, Geoffrey brings extensive experience and a distinguished academic background to his practice.

Geoffrey is a graduate of The Peddie School in Hightstown, New Jersey, and earned his Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, majoring in International Law Politics and Organization. Geoffrey furthered his education with a Master of Science in Library Science from Catholic University of America, where he was honored as a member of Beta Phi Mu, the International Honor Society.

Geoffrey completed his Juris Doctorate with Distinction from Hofstra University School of Law, graduating in the top ten percent of his class and serving as Articles Editor of the Hofstra Law Review.

Following law school, Geoffrey gained valuable experience as a Law Clerk for the Honorable David F. Jordan of the United States District Court (E.D.N.Y.), and worked in the Litigation Department of Proskauer, Rose, Goetz, and Mendelson in New York City.

 In 1989, Geoffrey founded his own firm, focusing on civil-commercial litigation and criminal law. Geoffrey has represented clients in a wide array of legal settings, including New York District Courts, Supreme Courts, County Courts, Family Courts, the Appellate Division-Second Department, U.S. Bankruptcy Courts, and both New York and New Jersey U.S. District Courts.

In 2006, Geoffrey transitioned to a role as the Law Librarian with the New Jersey Superior Court—Essex Vicinage, before establishing his current practice in Upper Montclair, New Jersey, and Woodbury, New York.

His commitment to legal education is evident from his tenure as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Seton Hall School of Law, Adjunct Professor of Justice Studies at Montclair State University, and Adjunct Professor of History at Kean University. Geoffrey was recognized as Adjunct Professor of the Year by the Student Bar Association at Seton Hall School of Law in both 2010 and 2012.

A member of several prestigious professional organizations, including The American Bar Association, The New York State Bar Association, The Nassau County Bar Association, The Suffolk County Bar Association, and The New Jersey State Bar Association, Geoffrey is admitted to practice law in both New York and New Jersey. His areas of practice cover a broad spectrum, including Consumer Fraud, Vehicle and Traffic Violations, Landlord-Tenant Issues, Real Estate, Employment Law, Discrimination, Family Law, Criminal Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Civil Litigation, and Wills, Trusts, and Estates.
